Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) water
- 12 oz (350 g) fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) maple syrup
- 6 tablespoons (90 mL) brown sugar
- 2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) ground cinnamon
- 2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) vanilla
Preparation
- Mix the water and cranberries in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil
- Cover, lower heat and simmer 5 minutes or until cranberries burst.
- Pass the mixture to the food processor until the preparation is smooth
- Mix together the cranberry mixture, maple syrup, brown sugar and cinnamon in the pan.
- Bring to a boil
- Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until thickened.
- Steam regularly
- Add vanilla
- Pour into a container and cool, then place in the refrigerator.
