Homemade whole cranberry sauce

Ingredients

 

  • 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water
  • 1 package of 12 oz (340 g) fresh or frozen cranberries, rinsed and drained

Preparation

 

  1. Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Add cranberries and bring to a boil again.
  3. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Cover and cool completely at room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate until serving time.
