Homemade whole cranberry sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
 - 1 cup (250 ml) water
 - 1 package of 12 oz (340 g) fresh or frozen cranberries, rinsed and drained
 
Preparation
- Combine water and sugar in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
 - Add cranberries and bring to a boil again.
 - Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
 - Cover and cool completely at room temperature.
 - Refrigerate until serving time.
