Chocolate Cranberry Bread
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) softened butter
- 1 cup (250 ml) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla
- 1 cup (250 ml) halved cranberries
- 3/4 cup (200 ml) milk
- 2 cups (500 ml) flour
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) sifted cocoa
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon (2 ml) salt
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped walnuts
Preparation
- Beat the butter and sugar in a bowl.
- Stir in eggs while beating.
- Add vanilla, cranberries and milk and stir.
- Put the last 7 ingredients in a medium bowl and stir.
- Add everything to the dough.
- Stir just enough to moisten the dry ingredients.
- Pour batter into a greased 22 x 12, 5 x 7, 5 (9 x 5 x 3 in.) loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 ° F (175 ° C) for 65 to 70 minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes before unmolding on a rack.
